26 February 2025Congratulations to Professor Adilia Warris, Co-Director of our Medical Research Centre for Medical Mycology, and Academic Career Development and Training Strategy lead at our National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Exeter Biomedical Research Centre, who is one of 65 new Fellows elected to the American Academy of Microbiology. Fellows of the Academy are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-review process based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology. Adilia is a specialist in paediatric infectious diseases and her work has a strong focus on antifungal resistance, antifungal stewardship, and host-fungus interactions. Huge congratulations to Adilia.
