FAILSAFE has funds to support seed-corn projects (up to £75k), mid to large range projects (£75k – £250,000) that support innovative research and development focussed on developing products or solutions mitigating the consequences of antifungal resistance.
Seed-corn projects up to £75,000 can progress directly to the application stage (no EOI is needed).
Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted for mid to large projects (£75,000 – £250,000) prior to the full application stage so FAILSAFE can check eligibility against criteria, request relevant further information, and gauge if the proposed funding is appropriate.
Applicants must receive approval by the FAILSAFE team before submitting a complete application.
Please see the criteria outlined on the website before completion.
Please complete and upload your EOI via this webpage by the 14th of March 2025 (23.59 hours UK time). The relevant EOI form is available here.
This has been provided in a .docx format for ease of collaboration. Please note that you may be requested to copy some of the information in the EOI form directly into the online form as part of the submission.
If you are unsure if your idea is appropriate for this funding, do get in touch via email on failsafe@exeter.ac.uk. We would be happy to have an informal discussion about your research.
