5 August 2025We are delighted to announce that our very own FAILSAFE Awardee, Dr. Nuttapon Pombubpa from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, will be a featured presenter at the upcoming TSB 2025 Biotechnology in Action — the 37th Annual Meeting of the Thai Society for Biotechnology and International Conference. This year’s landmark event will be held at the Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, from 29th to 31st October 2025.
Dr. Pombubpa is a leading researcher and lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Chulalongkorn University, with expertise spanning dryland and biological soil crust microbial diversity, desert fungal diversity, and cutting-edge microbiome research in agriculture and the environment. His innovative work, involving advanced sequencing and omics technologies, is helping to shape the future of biotechnology in Thailand and across the region. This event will see him showcase his findings from his FAILSAFE funded project ‘Strengthening Agricultural Biosecurity in Southeast Asia: A Multinational Biobank Initiative for WHO Filamentous Fungal Pathogens to Enhance Pathogen Monitoring and Resistance Detection’
