Partnership support information

One of the primary objectives of the projects funded by FAILSAFE is to advance global research and development (R&D) efforts aimed at reducing the threat of fungal antimicrobial resistance (fAMR) for the benefit of people in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

To achieve this, funded projects must have a clear R&D focus, demonstrating innovation and the potential to advance products along the development pipeline. Your application would have outlined specific outcomes and future deliverables, such as securing follow-on funding, protecting intellectual property, and generating publications.

To support you in achieving these goals, we have a dedicated and experienced commercial partner. Angus Urquhart (a.urquhart@exeter.ac.uk), the Impact and Partnership Development Manager for the FAILSAFE Project, brings over 30 years of commercial expertise to assist you in reaching your objectives and ensuring that your project delivers the impact you aim for.

How can we support your project?

Partnership frequently asked questions (FAQs)

I have a product or solution and want help with finding an industry partner, how can you help?

Yes, we have a dedicated Commercial Lead on the project and there are several things we can offer to help you here. We will be meeting individually with all grant awardees to discuss the commercial application of your project. We can help you with structuring pitch materials, helping you with marketing and social media, connect you with potential industry partners from our wider network and help structure and negotiate contracts.

What support will you be able to offer me with my research?

We can provide marketing and commercial support and help you translate your research into a commercially viable proposition as laid out above.

I already have a potential commercial partner. What happens next?

We can work with you and your potential partner to ensure the best commercial outcome for you. We would ask you to introduce us to your partner and we can understand their objectives and preferred outcomes and ensure your project delivers what they need and a mutually beneficial agreement is reached.

What marketing resources can you offer?

We can help you design pitch decks and overview documents, advise on social media strategy and help you create social media collateral.
